This year has almost come to an end. I wanted to share what The Studio is up to these days. We have dove head first into some new jewelery photography and jewelery design as well. Currently we are working on an extensive portfolio of digitally designed jewelery pieces in photo real scenes and real pieces to round it all out.
We are using a studio made lighting system for our product photography. It is a good sized three sided structure with windows on the right, left, and top. Each "window" has thin velum on it to diffuse the studio lights. So we have all around diffusion and a kicker light to give us some detail/highlights. I also have a bounce board underneath to round out the shadows.

I cant wait for the new jewelry website to be up and running. Photographing anything really nice is difficult. Getting the lighting and angles correct is so difficult. My grandpa took all of the photos for our wedding and getting the red eye out was so difficult for him. At least with photographing jewelry, you don't have to deal with moving people!
